Today a lot of teenagers don't respect nature and the environment which surrounds them. I like walking in the mountains and I think that they can teach you the respect for nature. There are a lot of people who think the same as me, and one of these is Mauro Corona. He was born in 1950 in Erto, a little town near the Vajont dam. He has already written 5 books and recorded a CD. |

He is a wood carver and (it can sound strange) he "talks" with the trees which he's going to work. He is also a very good rock-climber: he has opened 247 new ways on the Dolomites, and three of these only on the Campanile of Val Montanaja. | ||
"Nature is taking a great risk. The risk of bending on itself and dying poisoned like a flower watered by bleach. The acid of pollution, of exploitation, of super production, of consumption to the bitter end, of the conquest of the useless, is poisoning the planet. Trying to oppose the disaster which is coming is the task of each of us." These words are taken from one of his books. |
I think he is right and teenagers must realize that we have only this Earth and we must protect it.
